SUNDAY ORACLE: Sulis (Bodies of Water)

“Spend time near water, such as a lake, river, or the ocean, to recharge your batteries.”

Sulis, a Celtic goddess who oversees bodies of water, calls to us to renew ourselves with water. If possible, this week, take meditative walks by a stream, river, lake, or ocean. Take or plan a trip to be near a large body of water for a while. Water is replenishing to our bodies and recharging to our spirits.

If you simply cannot take a trip or be near water, you can still recharge with the healing energies of water just by taking a bath. Of course, most of us bathe daily, but we do not usually ritually bathe daily.

A ritual bath need not be something that is complicated or scary. A ritual bath can mean just spending a little time in meditation prior to bathing to set your intention. Or it can mean, lighting candles or adding healing herbs and oils to the bath water. Adding sea salt to the bath can help you to detox physically as well as emotionally and spiritually. Another way to recharge your body and soul is to drink more water.

Water hydrates and is the perfect liquid to consume. Call on Sulis to help you if you are planning on taking a vacation near water. She will aid in clearing your schedule and managing your financial plans for the trip. You may also want to call on her to stir the waters of you bath if your are performing a ritual bath.

Above all, dear ones, take time to take care of you! Bright blessings.

SUNDAY ORACLE: Ishtar (Boundaries)

“Love yourself enough to say o to others’ demands on your time and energy.”

Each one of us has boundaries. The only difference is, some people are able to convey and protect their own boundaries while others do not seem to have that same ability. There are those of us who give and give of our time and efforts until we begin to resent the very ones we were seeking to help or comfort. That is the worst thing that a person can do. Once you begin to resent those you really want to aid, the relationship disintegrates. That never ends well.

Take some time this week to connect with your own boundaries. See exactly where they are and if you are allowing others to cross that line. You can stop this cycle of boundary crossing. When that line is being encroached upon, whether it is from you allowing it or others disrespecting your space, stop and back away from the person or situation. Once you respect your boundaries, others will recognize and respect, also.

Ishtar can help you in this endeavor. She is the goddess that represents all of the aspects of the Divine feminine. She is nurturing, healing, and protective. Ishtar also embodies sensuality, fertility, and wisdom. She will tirelessly aid you, whether male or female, in setting boundaries and keeping them in place.

This one act of loving yourself enough to say no at times to people and situations that exhausts you will go a long way to helping you maintain your own happiness and readiness to be of help to others. With the week ending with a New Moon and the beginning of Spring, this is the perfect time to begin to infuse your own soul with love and kindness.

Happy Spring! Bright blessings to all!

SUNDAY ORACLE: Guinevere (True Love)

“The romantic stirrings in your heart have propelled the universe to deliver great love to you.”Guinevere

Most of the time we think of true love as the act of being with someone who loves us as deeply as we do them. However, true love can take many forms: a mother’s love for her children, platonic love for someone, and, indeed, love for yourself.

Guinevere is a Celtic goddess who was also known as the “White One” or “White Phantom.” She assists in bringing romance and true love into your life. Romance is a vital part of our happiness and well being. If you do not have romance in your life, make some. Do not wait for romance to come to you, make it yourself for yourself. Spring is approaching, it is a great time to fall in love with the natural world again. Go outside and revel in the newness that springtime brings.

Make a little romance for someone else. True love doesn’t always just fall into your lap. Sometimes you have to be the one to ‘make it happen.’ Send flowers to the one you have set your affection on. Give out love and the Universe will give back.

Call on the beautiful goddess, Guinevere, this week to help you find your true love, the love that will make you happiest.

Bright blessings, lovelies!

“Your household situation is improving, either through a move or a healthy change in the occupants.”

Vesta is our goddess for this week.  She is a Roman goddess of hearth and home. Vesta brings warmth and the feelings of love and harmony to your household.

It is important to the energy of your home to make it inviting and warm even if you are not a social person.  This energy will increase your inner energy and keep everything in balance.  Light candles or a fireplace, place lots of throws and fluffy pillows in your sitting area.

There may be changes going on in your household at this time.  Is someone moving out or moving in?  Are you thinking about remodeling?  Maybe some long standing issues with neighbors is beginning to resolve.  Call on Vesta to make all of your household transitions smooth.  Know that your home is a place of safety and security.  Remember to smudge or sprinkle a bit of basil in the corners of your home to keep the energy positive and flowing.

I wish you bright blessings for you, your family, and your home!

SUNDAY ORACLE: Sarasvati (The Arts)

“Express yourself through creative activities.”

Nothing sets our soul free like creative expression. Nothing gets us out of a funk like allowing our creativity to go wild! If you’ve been feeling stuck in any area of life, take time to do some creative therapy. Paint, write, dance, play music, write music, listen to music, act, work with any crafts or creative endeavor, etc. Anything that utilizes your creativity is allowed!

If your creative juices seem to not want to flow. Put on some music, if music is not your talent, whatever type of music touches your heart, and you will notice that the weight of the world lifts. You are no longer limited by circumstance. Your mind is working in a realm above the material aspect of life and that sets creativity free.

Sarasvati is the Hindu goddess of the Arts. She can help you rise to the challenge of releasing your creative side. She can bring about opportunities for you to use your artistic talents. Call on her if you are feeling stagnant in the area of the arts. Life is so much more than just work and worry. Allow yourself to be consumed by the arts and your own creativity, at least for a little while!

Bright Blessings!sarasvati

SNUDAY ORACLE: Hathor (Receptivity)

“Allow yourself to receive. This will increase your intuition, energy, and ability to give to others.”

Our feminine aspect, this is for both males and females, is the part of us that nurtures, cares for, and helps others. Sometimes, we find ourselves giving and giving and for some inexplicable reason, we feel guilty when someone gives to us. This should not be so.

Hathor is an Egyptian sky goddess who is called upon mainly for child birthing, conception or even adoption. However, she also knows that those who nurture and help have to replenish from time to time. This is your time to replenish.HathorBright Blessings!

SUNDAY ORACLE: Diana (Focused Intention)

“Keep your unwavering thoughts, feelings, and actions focused on your target, and you will make your mark.”

The strong Roman goddess, Diana, promises to help you maintain focus.  You have set goals for yourself, without focus you may never reach them.  Call on Diana to help you keep you eye on the prize.  To reach your dreams, put every ounce of energy you have into achieving them.

Only you hold the reigns to your life, you are in control even when you think or feel as if you aren’t.  Take charge of your schedule today.  Make sure you have the time you need to meet and exceed your intended goals.  Stay positive!  Do not spend any unnecessary time with negative people.

In your meditation this week, imagine that you are rooted to Mother Earth, totally grounded.  See in your mind strong roots going down into the ground, connecting you to her and to the elementals.  The goddess Diana is associated with the mighty oak.  She will help you maintain your strength and tenacity when it comes to working toward your goals.
